Our goal is to offer the safest and most secure child care in the Martinsburg area, while providing exceptional and individualized attention to each unique child. It is essential to Happy Hearts to provide each child with quality experiences, which enable them to learn and grow in a stable environment. We will also thrive to build and maintain positive relationships with parents and family members as well as local businesses in our community. Happy Hearts Preschool will provide care through quality staff that are always eager to learn new ways to help our children thrive and help mold them to be the very best versions of themselves. First-Rate Curriculum
Happy Hearts teachers strive to make learning fun and interesting for each child. We utilize Funshine Express Fireflies' Curriculum! Our teachers create a weekly lesson plan geared towards a monthly and weekly focus theme. Children will participate daily in activities that include art exploration, writing and fine motor skills, science exploration, literature connection, character building, fitness fun, music, and math. We incorporate a wide variety of quiet and active play as well as group and individual playtime.

Ms. Carrie has endless experience working with children ranging from infancy to school age since 1994. Professionally, she has been the Director of 3 child care centers in Maryland and West Virginia and is excited about starting her own with Co-Owner, Chelsea. She has an extremely supporting family consisting of her 2 grown sons, Derek
Ms. Carrie has endless experience working with children ranging from infancy to school age since 1994. Professionally, she has been the Director of 3 child care centers in Maryland and West Virginia and is excited about starting her own with Co-Owner, Chelsea. She has an extremely supporting family consisting of her 2 grown sons, Derek and Noah, her husband, Ike, her cousin, Machaela, which she is a legal guardian to and her dog Harley. She loves to watch with patience and excitement as children grow and experience new things.

All of our staff are registered with the West Virginia STARS early childhood education and training program. Staff are required to attend a minimum of 15 hours (21 for directors) of on-going training each year. All of Happy Hearts staff are CPR and First Aid trained and are required to pass a Federal, State, and CPS background check.

She has always had a passion for making a difference in the lives of young children. She comes from a large family that has always supported her dream of owning her own center. She’s a sports and music enthusiast! Her

She has always had a passion for making a difference in the lives of young children. She comes from a large family that has always supported her dream of owning her own center. She’s a sports and music enthusiast! Her strongest area is 2/3 year olds so you’ll mostly find her with our youngest tiny humans avoiding “cute” art projects at all cost.
